Will Using a hard drive caddy cause viruses to be transferred?
Ok. I'll explain what happened from the beginning.
On my old laptop I downloaded a lot of films and video clips, music (etc.). Several times I got bsod, I don't know why.. don't ask. I'm not sure if it was because of a virus or just general problems. Then the last time it got bsod it didn't turn back on. I've since smashed (literally) the laptop up and taken out the hard drive, what I want to know is...
Will plugging the hard drive into a hard drive caddy and then into my new laptop cause my new laptop to die like the old one?
So.. do you think that it will be safe to just plug the caddy into my new laptop and then run a virus scan. It won't just destroy the new laptop straight away?
Well...understand that people act on fear in the first place. If it is a virus by why you explained, it is "fixable". No need to freak out.
