Why wont my fully charged laptop turn on without the AC plugged in?
I have an HP ze4560 that was recently working fine until it decided to stop turning on. The battery is fully charged but wont turn on. Nothing happens when I push the power button, not lights, nothing. It only turns on when I plug the AC plug in. Help
The battery on your machine might be dead.
Try this,
Remove the battery and plug in the ac adapter only. See if it switches on. If it does then you don't have any problem with the motherboard.
Put the removed battery in the freezer compartment of your fridge for a while (Yes i know it sounds dumb but works sometimes - make sure no water comes in contact with it). Then plug it back in and switch on the computer WITH the ac adapter. If it works well and good.
If it doesn't -last resort- try plugging it into a friends laptop who has the same laptop and check whether it works.
If all fails, im sorry you have to get yourself a new battery
