Nvidia GeForce GTX 460m vs ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850?
I'm about to get a new Alienware M15x laptop with ATI Radeon 5850 but now all of a sudden the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460m is available for Alienware M15x.I just want to know which one is better just for gaming overall?
GTX 460M is almost 20% faster than the ATI Mobility Radeon 5850. The GTX 460M is based off of the newer GF106 Core so similar to the desktop GTS 450 in performance terms and the 5850 is based off of the desktop 5750 just with slower clocks. The GTX 460 also has much better Tessellation and support for Nvidia CUDA. Go with the GTX 460M!
