Is it okay to use plastic wrap to cover my laptop keyboard to protect from crumbs and oil from my hands?
I want to cover my laptop keyboard to protect it from falling crumbs, oils from my hands, and any other typical dangers that keyboards are susceptible to, whatever they may be. I was thinking of using clear plastic wrap, but my mom wasn't sure it was okay.
Could my laptop be damaged in any way by covering the keyboard with plastic wrap to protect it?
Eating and especially drinks around lap tops and computers is not a good thing to do. Water or any liquid spilled on and into it will cause major problems, shorts, burn out the mother board etc.
Do not cover the key board as it helps with the cooling by allowing air to get into the lap top as well as never use a lap top on a soft surface like pillows, bed etc as this blocks cooling vents.
