How hard is it to replace laptop keyboards?
And how expensive? Spilled sticky stuff all over it, not a good sight. Any places that will replace the keyboard?
These are simple to change if you know what your doing. The plastic cover on the laptop that has the power button on it will pop out if you start at one corner and gradually work your way down to get it off. Be careful when taking it off, because there may be wires attached. If there are, they should disconnect. Be gentle and make sure to reconnect them. Then once taking off that cover will expose two or three screws for the keyboard. Take those screws out and lift the keyboard. Then disconnect the ribbon cable from the motherboard. Again be gentle.
Installation is reverse from dissassembly. Also they are cheap to get on eBay. Just enter your model# and add keyboard to the end of it in your search.
