Is the lenovo ideapad V460 a good college laptop?

I'm just wondering if that's too much power or not enough and also, whether the size, 14', is an ok sized screen for day to day college work.
The biggest thing to look at is the price. Is it out of your price range. If so don't by this computer.
The next thing is what will you be using it for, will you be doing system intensive jobs on the computer, like gaming or HD video editing on it, then the core i5 520M, 4GB of 1066 MHz RAM and the 512 mb of graphics memory seem to be enough. If you would just be looking at emails or webpage's then i think you should go for a cheaper possible smaller laptop.
Finally does this computer have the best value. Is their another computer out their that is cheaper but still preforms at the same speed or is their a computer that is a little more expensive but has a subsantial perfomance advantages over that computer. So you should look for value.
