If all my music is on my external hard drive, does it take up my Laptop memory to play the music thru Itunes?
If all my music is on my external hard drive, does it take up my Laptop memory to play the music thru Itunes (On my laptop) as the music then moves to the Itunes libary too. As when you play music through Itunes it moves to the libary, i was wondering whether as its in your Itunes libary, does that take up laptop memory space even though all the music is saved on your external hard drive?
wont really take alot of memory per say, but you'll see some decent processor usage while your playing music (it's gotta stream it off the drive)
You can use Winamp lite, that litterly takes Kb's of ram (less then 1MB) to run and barely any cycles, perfect player while playing video games, or if your computer sucks
http://www.winamp.com/media-player
Direct i-tunes support. while at the same time gives you access to all the features of your audio card (if your a audiophile)
Winamp Lite is towards the bottom of the page.
[edit] compatible with windows 7 also
