Can I network 2 laptops with bluetooth and 1 aircard?
I am a field tech and have two laptops and an aircard. I want to be able to access the internet on both laptops without having to swap the air card between the two computers when I am in my vehicle. One laptop will be the one I take onsite(need the internet onsite) and is stored in the rear of SUV, and one is mounted to a mobile laptop desk. Both computers have bluetooth and I have only one aircard.
Well seems possible... haven't actually tried same configuration though... but its tricky to keep more than one interface on a computer...
1) You need software to set-up the laptop having the AIRCARD [will call it AIRCARD laptop hence forth] as a PROXY SERVER... and has direct connectivity.( Get a free PROXY SERVER software and install in the AIRCARD laptop)
2) In other laptop using the network wizard configure the bluetooth network to be the default interface
3) Then set-up a home network with the bluetooth interface from the AIRCARD laptop to the other laptop.
4) In your other laptop give the IP Address of the AIRCARD laptop as the proxy's ( Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Proxy Server)
5) With your AIRCARD laptop ready try connecting to a site from your other laptop...

With bluetooth you can not keep the laptops very far apart, (well 5 meters max)..
