can i use a 320gb 7200rpm hard drive from my old laptop for a portable external hard drive?
I have a 320gb 7200rpm Toshiba hard drive from my old HP laptop, So i was wondering can i use this hdd for an external hdd like the western digital portable external hdd i have and will it work the same since its 7200rpm?, and also will this HDD Encloser work for my 320 7200rpm hdd,

i cant seem to find if 7200rpm hdds are ok to use in this or any enlosers, hell i cant even find out what the rpms are in portable external hdds like the western digital one i have, anyone know that answer also?.

Not sure if it is ide or sata, i looked on the hdd label and i dont see where it says sata or ide. its from a HP laptop not even a year old.
It shouldn't be a problem. The biggest issue is the type of drive. Is it an ide or sata? Whichever drive enclosure you use must be able to connect to the drive itself via the internal interface.
