What is the practicality of using a HIGH PERFORMANCE "gaming laptop" as a server?
It's a very high performance, custom laptop, more powerful than most desktop PCs.
I want to host website, but I dont want to pay for a server, so whats the practicality of using one partition on my laptop as a server, and the other as general use?
I plan to use Ubuntu server, and i want to host a simple portfolio, nothing huge or dynamic
Unless you are a genius and have rigged the thing to run two OSs at once, none at all...
The server has to be running CONSTANTLY, which means you would have to turn it off and reboot to go to gaming...
For this reason, it's easier to get a cheap old piece of crap someone threw away and use it instead...
