Can I bring a laptop in a backpack that does not have a built-in sleeve?
I'm trying to buy a backpack for college that will be able to carry my laptop along with my books, binders, etc. I'm thinking about buying a North Face Jester. Would it be ok if I just put the laptop (in a protective sleeve) straight into the backpack, or should I buy a backpack that has a built-in sleeve for the laptop?
And if anyone has backpack suggestions, that would be appreciated, too. Thanks!
I use a courier bag, with a laptop sleeve section in it.
I would be really hesitant to stick it in an unsecured pouch in a backpack with my books bumping around. Could flex and damage the LCD. Seen it happen.
