laptop recovery disc if youve put on a different operating system?
Hi, Im just wondering how to use your recovery disc if you've put on a different OS. my laptop had windows home and i formatted it and put on media center edition but i have lost that. and when i use the recovery disc it says it formats it but it doesnt put any of the drivers on it like it used to. im a n00b i probably shouldnt have done that.
most dont now. you useally have a another vd for drivers. the os cd is just for the vista or xp and whatever those come with like games and what not. you probably have to get online and download the drivers that way. if your driver for online is not working like my computer i have to download the driver from my cd or it wont let me online then you might try to download the driver from another computer onto a external hd or cd or thumb drive and then install the modem driver to your laptop that way. most of the time the cd drive, and usb ports work without downloading the driver. they just might not work to there fullest abilities tell you get the driver. just like your screen. you can still see everything on your screen but you might not beable to do much for resolution and stuff tell you get the driver. anyways try that. again most dont do drivers on the os cd anymore. it is seperate now or you are supposed to backup your stuff on a cd when you first got it.
