is it a good idea to buy a refurbished laptop?
i've had a hp pavillion laptop for 2 years and the motherboard went. it is not eligible for free repair..the warranty and the special extended warranty is up. i am stuck between sending it in for repair(where they could charge me more for other things that they find wrong) or buying a refurbished one...can't afford a new one.
Buying a refurb can be an easy experience. I would say don't get one from HP though. Go to http://www.dell.com/us/en/dfh/notebooks/ct.aspx?refid=notebooks&s=dfh&cs=22
Just check the reputation of the model you want to purchase before you do. A quick google search will set you straight.
