What is the name of the cord that goes between the ac adapter and your laptop?
Mine is pretty frayed towards the inlet into the laptop and last night suddenly my battery isn't charging beyond 6%, and the indicator immediately starts flashing red if the power is disconnected. I am wondering if this cord may be the reason. When I restart the computer, I get a message that something wrong has been detected with the ac adapter. Anyway, so I'm trying to look for a replacement cord online, but I am only finding either the entire adapter with both cords or just the power cord that gets plugged into the wall. What I want is the cord between the ac adapter and the computer. Any suggestions for what it's called, how to search for it, where to buy it? I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 by the way. Thanks!
As far as I know you cannot buy just half of the cord, you will most likely have to buy the entire thing unless you can find a replacement parts shop that happens to have one. It sounds like the issue may be more of the battery itself going dead. If replacing the cord doesn't solve the charging issue then a new battery will be the next step.
