HP pavilion DV6700 or DV9700? which has less noise when operating? also which has a good thermoregulation?
uhm.. can i ask a little help, kinda urGent. 
HP dv**** series rocks my bOat because of the superb external interface ..
but the dilemma stars when i can't decide what model im gonna take ..
DV6700, DV9500 and DV9700..
overall designs of the 3 are good, the 9x series had the touchpad more on the left side this time, which isn't that annoying, making full use of the keyboard..a plus.
DV6700 models are my first choice, retains the classic design than the 9x..plus a fprint scanner and stuff..
im very concerned about the damn fan noise and thermoregulation when working on laptop.. im wondring which of the two options have a more silent operation when used, with less heat?? and which has a 64bit capability.. i heard many news with the coming of diff. OS releases, so pretty much likewise i dnt want the model to be outdated THAT much ..thank u..
Those laptops are made by the same manufacturor with similar fans, the difference is the size, 15" vs 17" but the dv**** range varies a lot and the noise would depend on the specific config.
My pavilion gets very hot and the fans rarely go to full speed, its very quiet but the left hinge (near the processor) has started cracking possibly due to the heat, it has gone for repair, hp released bios update to spin the fans more to run it cooler. The hp pavilion range seems to be full of problems, i recommend you avoid them
