How much weight can I carry on my backpack if I'm pregnant?
I have been rolling a backpack because I hav 6 classes in one day but it ripped and I only have less than a month left of school before I graduate. I am 5 months pregnant. I hav been taking my regular backpack but I only take one notebook for notes instead of six since school is almost over. I do carry about three books and some folders plus my laptop charger. The laptop is tiny and I carry it separatly in a bag accross my chest. Is that too much weight? I think I carry around 15-17 lbs. I would consider myself strong but not too much. I am thin but my thiner little sister's stronger than me.
My doctor told me that the actual number is not as important as how it makes you feel. If you need to put a lot of effort into carrying it, then it is too much. If you can breathe comfortably, and don't feel like you're straining yourself carrying it then it is a safe weight to carry. The actual amount of weight will be different for each person depending upon what they can handle.
