I am a guy using one of those laptop cases to carry around my stuff...?
Should I wear the shoulder strap be on the same side of the bag, or should it go diagonally across my chest, or does it not matter ?
I don't want to look gay (not that there is anything wrong with that...)
I would carry it with the strap diagonally across your body. Most guys I have seen using messenger bags tend to wear them that way.
But I don't think that either way would be considered 'gay'. Wear it how you feel comfortable with it. If you are carrying heavy stuff around, wearing it diagonally will distribute the weight more evenly, rather than having it all weighted on one shoulder.
