Is it alright if my laptop gets hot on a table?
hi, i got a new laptop and it gets hot. i realised that there something blowing out air on the bottom side of laptop. I keep that bit unblocked, its really annoying. When i put it on a desk/table the fan is blocked, should i keep it that way? The bottom of the laptop gets hot. when i turn the charger on it gets really hot is that normal. should i keep the fan blocked when i'm using it on a bed or desk or table so the air does not come out from the bottom?
The fan should never be blocked. Placing it on a desk or tables is what is was designed for and should be the most ideal position. Placing it on a bed or carpet is a big no-no! This is where you will run into big trouble.
It is normal for both the charger and bottom of the laptop to get warm, but really hot...not really. The problem is what is your definition of "Really Hot." If you think it is getting too hot call the manufacturer or buy a cooling base for it.
