my experiences with compaq pressario desktops and laptops have been poor. as far as the schematics, it is a good computer. 160 GB is great for memory, and i love the light-scribe. So on paper its a good option, but ever compaq i have ever had has very slowly broken down bit by bit. hope this was helpful.
