How to more effectively cool my Toshiba Laptop Satellite A75 series?
How to more effectively cool my Toshiba Laptop Satellite A75 series?
It has 2 internal fans and I also use a USB powered Antec cooling mat underneath it. However, it will sometimes overheat and shut down, causing me to lose all my work. One thing that has helped it occasionally vacuuming the fans airholes for dirt. What other measures can I take besides getting a new laptop? Its no longer under warranty as about 3 years old. Is this overheating problem common? It gets warmest on the corner right side of the computer near the HOME key
Both internal fans are working.
Toshiba laptops are notorious for getting extremely hot. The whole line of computers that they make get too hot and shut themselves down if used extensively. I don't think there's anything to do for it, except maybe get a laptop stand (at an angle) as well as your chill mat. The reason it gets really hot near the 'home' key is because that is where the processor and heatsink are located.
