Does it Affect Toddler to speak when at home there is more than one language spoken?
My 33 month old Daughter knows all of her ABC she recognizes them as well for example: her Vtech laptop asks her to press upper case and lower case letter and she know where they are. Also she know Family members names, She counts to 15. She knows About 50 plus words. She says Thank You, I Love You, What's That... Shoes.. nose.. etc... but she doesn't talk completely. She tries to repeat what she hears. But she still does not talk in sentences. it only one or two words at a time. We speak English, Spanish and occasionally watch Hindi movies and Listen to music.. She tries to sing in all Languages! Should i be worried that she doesn't talk like other kids?
No, I wouldn't worry at all.
I've heard that kids raised in multilingual homes will tend to mix-up or combine the languages until they reach a certain age. So they might say sentences with both English and Spanish words together, for example.
Eventually they will straighten it out and later on it life it will be much easier for them to learn other languages which will benefit them greatly. Be sure to make it a point to teach them in every language you're fluent in! The greater the exposure they have to different languages, the greater their brains will develop.
