Integrated laptop webcams make you look ugly, don't they?
If you're a reasonably tall person sitting at a desk working on a laptop, the webcam that's built into your widescreen monitor is going to be at the level of your neck most likely. This means that you would have to tilt the display back so that the webcam can focus on your face. But then the webcam is looking up at you -- usually an unflattering angle to display a face.
Children wouldn't have this problem but adults would. So...how do you deal with this? Don't you think a separate webcam would be better, because you could place it at a height and angle that would make you look more attractive?
And if you have the laptop on your lap, the camera angle will be even worse! The camera would basically be aimed at your throat.
I guess you could put a box under the laptop to raise it higher, but that's a real hassle and would also make it harder to type.
I'm shopping for a new laptop, and this thought occurred to me. So...please offer your opinions. Thanks.

Doesn't make me any uglier than I am.
Nor better looking. 
But the resolution of the camera makes a great difference. Get the highest resolution you can.
