range of N routers (need to extend range)?
my neighbor uses my wifi, one house over, I have a G router with extender antenna, they get the signal but its low, If I buy N router will it help extend the range even if there laptop just has a G and cant pic up the N signal
N is all about speed, not range! The FCC keeps tight standards on the output of these devices. You might have your neighbor look for an external antenna if he has a card with a screw on antenna.There is NO benefit for the home network with N. The local area network speed is the only benefit and your existing g is far faster than the internet already. Dont waste your money.
