Besides a laptop/netbook what could a writer use to type their stories?
My little sister's birthday is coming up and she wants a laptop. She plans on being a writer and actually writes pretty descent stories. She doesn't like her penmanship so she wants a laptop of her own that she can use to type her stories when shes inspired. Is there anything besides a laptop I could buy her that allows her to type her stories and is able to be carried around.
Before computers, many writers used portable word processors and there are many of them still in use. They have the editing functions of a computer, but are designed exclusively for writing, so they can't be connected to the internet or used for computing or gaming.
