With new computers do we have to buy the programs now?
So my dad and I went to Best Buy and a guy there says that with the economy down, the new computers/laptops etc programs, will have a limited number of days that it can be used then you have to go buy it for yourself. My dad says that it's only for Microsoft Office and all of that, But I thought it would be for the whole computer, like with XP/Vista. Does anyone know which one it's for? Sorry if the explanation is kinda vague. I don't know how else to describe it.
It's not just the economy. Microsoft Office on new computers was ALWAYS that way, as was Norton stuff (bleah) and some of the other stuff that comes pre-loaded on new computers. They load it on the new computer just hoping you'll buy it.
Nope, it ain't the economy. Now you can skip the next paragraph. It's not for points. It's my rant and rave.
All that trial stuff is called, "bloatware"! Almost 80-90% of it deserves to be removed!
