How can I connect my old Latitude LM laptop to the internet and get USB capability?

I got a really old Latitude LM laptop. (manuals and stuff can be found at http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/pespmmx/docs.htm
It is made for Windows 95 but it has 98 installed.
I don't think that it is capable to access wifi(please tell me if it is!), but I think that it being able to be connected via ethernet cable to a modem would be suffice. I know that I need some sort of card or module to be able to be connected to the ethernet cable. Can someone please explain to me what I need to buy?
Also, equally important, I would like to be able to insert my flashdrive into it. Please tell me if and how I may do so.
No, it doesn't have any ethernet or USB ports. I wouldn't have put this listing up if it did...
