Is the top LCD information panel really that useful? Explain please?
Besides giving instant information about the shooting settings, which we can see on the main screen too by the way, or may be to reduce battery consumption.
I guess it is really just about personal preference and more options of where to see the settings. You're definitely right about the battery consumption as well, seeing as I'm pretty sure you can disable the LCD info panel (on Nikons).
