Flashing green battery light on Dell laptop.
I have a Dell Inspiron 6000... and it is running on AC power, not battery, and the LED battery light flashes green at a constant, steady pulse. The battery is also not losing any charge.. so the adapter is working.
Any idea?
This is a brand new adapter. Got it today. And the computer is fully charged.
According to Service Manuals on this system a Flashing Green battery light means "The battery is almost fully charged".
If the battery is fully charged and it is displaying this status it could be a sign that the battery might be going bad. Try depleting the battery and recharging it to see what the light does. When the battery is being charged initially it should display a Solid Green light, and then when it gets closer to being full the light should start to blink.
To test and make sure that there is not something wrong with the adapter/motherboard try running the system without the battery. If the system works without the battery, and the battery holds a charge when in use then the system should be fine.
