Looking for a laptop to buy-Lenovo vs. Dell?
I'm transferring over from a great HP desktop computer to a 800-1300 dollar laptop. I won't get a mac since I game and just trust PCs compatibility more. So far, after reading reviews from CNet and Consumer Reports, I have come down to two companies: Dell or Lenovo. I can get a discount on a Lenovo laptop since I have a friend who works for the advertising department. The Lenovo/IBM company seems to be very popular in the laptop world for business and office work, but I also need a computer that can play games like sims, warcraft, and battlefield. Dell's XPS laptops seem nice for gaming since you can customize them a lot but I have had bad experiences with Dell's customer service. Also both companies have many different models (thinkpad, ideapad, insperion, ect) so I'd like some input on which model would be best for games and general computer work.
i dont like lenovo or dell but if i had to choose, it would be dell. the only "gaming" laptops lenovo has are the ideapads and the radeon 2600 they have is soon going to be obsolete.
