reinstalling from windows 7 pre loaded?
I am a developer and my laptop has windows 7 starter edition pre loaded when I purchased. Also it was a portion of drive which is for rescue n recovery (lenovo says I can recover my windows in case of a crash). So many times I wanted to format my hard drive (rescue and recovery wont help here!) and since I do not have the windows 7 CD I stopped. Since I have paid for the windows license, I want to take this OS out into my external hard drive, so that i can format my hard disk and then reinstall the OS. Can anyone help me to take my windows out into a CD or external hard drive?
Toshiba laptops have a App called "Recovery Media Creator "it should be in your start - program list
what it does is make 3 dvd that you use to install your windows back on your machine even if you change your hard drive it still works ..
you just cannot use it on other systems because the hardware is differant and is recocognised as not the original machine
