I have a Lenovo Thinkpad R500 laptop and i was wondering how much it would cost me to put in more RAM?
As i've been told i need a DD3 dual channel stick
You need DDR3 PC3-8500 or DDR3 PC3-10600 RAM.
This is going to cost anywhere from about $35 to $200+ depending on how much you want, and the speed/quality of the RAM.
My recommendation is 2 gigabytes total, from two one gig sticks. Your computer should have come with a single gigabyte stick. You'll want to buy one more.
Your computer supports a maximum of 8 gigs, although you'll only be able to use over 3.5 gigs if you have a 64 bit operating system.
