Wireless mouse is acting very strangely.?
Half the time I click my mouse, it either registers a double click, a click and hold (as if I were to hold the mouse button down), or it doesn't register a click at all.
A little extra information:
- I'm running an HP dv7t laptop with Vista Home Premium
- It is a Logitech wireless optical mouse (20 bucks at Wal-Mart, Staples, et. al.)
- I have changed the battery, and the problem obviously persists
- I also use a track pad when the mouse is not connected
Could it be that I need a new mouse?
I have a similar problem with my wireless Logitech mouse. I've found that if I move the mouse closer to the receiver attached to the computer, it sometimes works better. Sometimes there's just too much matter on the straight line between the mouse and the receiver and moving the mouse reduces that path.
