I bought a 5.1 Surround System and my laptop has 7.1 Jacks and colors don't match?
I have an MSI GX620 laptop which comes with HD Realtek and 7.1 Sound Card. I bought some Logitech Surround Speakers (Z506 to be precise).
Then I noticed that the colors don't really match with the jacks.
Notebook Jacks: Gray, Green, Blue, Red (Microphone)
Jacks from the 5.1 Surround: Yellowish/Orange, Green, Black.
When I tried to connect both Front Left/Right and both Rear Left/Right Speakers worked. No sound came from the Center and Subwoofer Speakers.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
I searched some forums but they were not really that helpful.
I dont think those are 7.1 jacks. Red is microphone, grey is middle, green is sound (left and right) and i think blue is line in.
