My Micron TransPort XPE laptop no longer responds at startup and the screen is blank. Any suggestions?
A few points:
1. The machine doesn't enter POST
2. BIOS does not respond when prompted
3. The machine doesn't boot from bootable media (Win XP
Home SP2 upgrade CD)
4. When connected to my Acer AL1916W monitor, there is no
recognition of the monitor
5. The display shows both the CD-ROM Drive and HDD are
being recognised, but both disappear after about 1 min.
6. The machine is being powered soley by the AC adapter
7. When turned on the first time, the machine encountered a
real time clock error during POST
8. Prior to the current problem, the machine was running Win
XP Home SP2
9. System specs: 150 Mhz P1 MMX, 64MB RAM, Cirrus Logic
7556 video card
try to change the bios battery.
or just give the thing a rest, from the specs you mentioned that's like 10years ago.
sorry man, maybe its time to let him go
