How can i use the internet modem for my computer rather then just using the wireless one for the laptop.?
Ok.. so when the wireless router crashes my computer doesnt have any internet connection. But the wireless is for the laptop not for the computer. And my computer doesnt use the modem it uses the router... how can i change it so my computer uses the modem and the laptop uses the wireless router?

I bought what they call a dongle that plugs into a USB port -- you run the set-up disk ... and your desktop should work on the wireless signal. I have done in my desk-top and it works very well. You could buy a wireless card and install it but sometimes those can be a bear to configure.

The Laptop should have a NIC card built in (some do -- but I am not sure if they all do or not). If it doesn't you should have no problem getting a wired internet connector.
