Which Moleskine would be best for art journaling?
A Large Plain Notebook or a large sketchbook?
I find that the plain notebook's pages are WAY to thin to do most kind of art apart from pencil drawings. Ink tended to bleed through the pages depending on which pen I used and the pages are near transparent, so it could not hold up to mediums like pastel and watercolor.
The sketchbook is great: the pages are nice and thick so you can use a variety of mediums on them, they are a nice off white color, and they hold up nicely to brutal treatment (I am really hard on my notebooks and my moleskine does well). The watercolor moleskine is great too since it opens up long ways instead of like a regular notebook so it's great for doing sketch crawls and life drawings.
