PC Issue: Is my motherboard fried?
(My Rig: AMD64 3500+, 6800GT 256MB AGP, 2G PC3200 SDRAM, MSI Neo Plat MoBo, 650W PSU)
When turning my PC on, only the fans and LCD Temperature Reader work. There are no beeps to tell me what is wrong. I removed the 2G RAM to see if that would change anything ... still no warning beeps. I had a few bent pins on my 3500+ processor which I think I fried also (didn't use heatsink fan on a 2 second plug-in to see if it would run, also the platic case where the CPU sits is damaged, it's in two pieces) ... Is my motherboard fried? Is it safe to order a mobo through e-bay or would I be better purchasing a new PC?
The fan on my GPU still spins so is it safe to assume the Graphics Card is still good? And on the RAM, I'll likely take it somewhere early next week to have them tested to see if they are still useable.
Any advice you can give me on testing the motherboard with what's been stated above to see if it works?
What did you do, take a hammer to it.
Yes your mboard is fried and so it your CPU and hopefully nothing else.

If you wish to use your memory again and your graphics card just remember to check that the mboard can accommodate them.
