ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 for 1080p resolution gaming?
Eh, there's a free upgrade option on a Sony notebook for a 1920x1080 display and that would certainly complement the blu-ray player it has but would it bog down games like fsx or sims 3 on mediumish-high settings? It's either 1366x768 or 1920x1080p but just not sure about the graphics performance and it's a 1gb gddr3.
I don't understand, if it's too weak to play games with those settings...isn't it essentially the same as it getting 'bogged down'. What's the fundamental difference?
The Radeon 5650 is too weak to handle games at full 1080p -- choosing a 1080p display is not going to "bog down" it's performance.
I would get the 1920x1080p display upgrade anyway since its free and the high resolution doesn't just benefit gaming.
You'll just have to play games at lower resolutions.
