Does having a dedicated graphics card really matter if you have 4gb RAM?
hi, im looking at a few notebooks to buy, but in a few there is a difference of about $200..one has 256 mb graphics card other has 512 mb...but both have 4gb..lets say if i ran gta 4 on the 256 mb one..wouldnt it run fine? since my RAM is alot?
There is no 256mb GPU out there that can run GTA fine. It doesn't have enough memory (on the GPU itself), and anytime you're working with 256mb, everything else on the card is low as well. RAM helps take stress from your CPU, so it'll help on processor intensive games..
In ending.. You cannot run GTA 4 on a 256mb card. You can on a 512mb card though.. Depending on which one.. (9800m GS and up).
