in a notebook-speed diff between 5400 and 7200 rpm....
In a notebook computer, getting a 7200 rpm drive is significantly more expensive than getting a 5400 one. I was wondering how they compare? What sort of difference in performance would the average user see? How much delay in booting up the computer with a 5400 one?
Thanks
You would probably only notice it come start up time, and when you launch programs. It wont be a huge difference maybe 5-10 seconds more for start up time. Make sure you have enough ram, i would say that's more important. Also with a 7200 RPM drive you will notice a decrease in battery life. I would just go with a 5400 rpm drive.
