My dell ac adapter is erratic?
My dell inspirion 6000 notebook has been having problems. First it was chock full of spyware/malware, etc... but that has been resolved. The ac adapter is another story.
Problem:
I Purchased a Kensington universal ac adapter for the notebook when the original broke. After 3 worry free weeks it started acting up.
The screen would blink from dim to bright intermittently.
It would switch from battery back up power to ac power even though it was plugged in. (the internal network card would activate and deactivate).
We got tired of this, returned it, and purchased a legitimate dell 65 W adapter. We are still experiencing the same problems.
What can I do?
Go to http://www.dell.com, Click on support to email a tech or Contact Us to get tech support toll-free phone number and ask for tech support. Tell them what's going on with it. It could be your laptop. Also run another scan for virus, malware, etc.
