how do I use the N Wireless Notebook Card on my Compaq Presario C300 notebook?
This was a gift for my birthday and I feel like an idiot! There is no place to install the card. Do I need an adapter? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
I believe that you bought or got the wrong style and need the Wireless N USB WiFi adapter...as what has occurred is your Compaq Presario Notebook PC cannot accept the new N Wireless WiFi Card bec that new WiFi Wireless N card is designed for the newer Notebook PCs that use the Express Slot rather than the older Notebook PCs which uses the PCMIA WiFiCards.
FYI I have 3 Dell Notebook PCs and kept one older PCMIA WiFi card, Belkin Pre-N Wi Fi card for a Dell Latitude D800 but in view of the change in Notebook PC architecture, I elected to purchase a Linksys Wireless N USB Network WiFi adapter, WUSB300N since it literally provides maximum flexibility to all PCs including all Notebook PCs and Desktop PCs.
