do i need to buy a cooling pad for my dell inspiron 1501 notebook?
dell inspiron athlon 1501 do i stil have to buy extra cooling pad? is this model got built in fan already?
Hi there, the only reason that you would need a cooling pad is if you plan to sit with your portable system on a soft surface that would block the airflow from the bottom vents. The soft surface could be your lap, sitting on your bed, a pillow... etc. Portables from Dell are not called "Laptops" for the simple reason that they really shouldn't be used on your lap. The components in portable systems these days are better, faster, stronger and generate more heat (processors for example).
The 1501 notebook has ample cooling, plenty of vents and shouldn't require a cooling pad... but bottom line, if you want to get one, it's your decision. You just don't NEED one.
