Notebook memory upgrade?
I've had a look at my notebook's memories inside and found the following:
256MB 2RX16 PC2-4200S-444-12-A0
256MB, DDR2, 533, CL4
This means that I have 2*256 Mb memories, doesn't it?
I want to buy at least 1 Gb more (my notebook can be upgraded until 2 Gb), but I'm not sure, which type.
Can I buy for example:
- 1GB, 667MHz/PC2-5300, Notebook DDR-II, Kingston
- 1GB, 800MHz/PC2-6400, Notebook DDR-II, Kingston
or I can buy only 1GB, 533MHz/PC2-4200, Notebook DDR-II, PQI
How do I know that my Acer TM 3002 wtmi will cope with memories that are higher in MHz than 533?
What is PC2- 4200, PC2-5300, PC2-6400?
I want to buy a relatively good memory with "high numbers", I just don't want to get stuck.
