Notebook Excellent Repair
Excellent wireless connection, no internet?

I use a Dell Inspiron notebook. I read so many forums, but I still haven't found one with the solution to my problem. I was able to get online on my laptop with no problem up until two days ago, and now my browser suddenly can't connect to the network. Still, my wireless connection reads "excellent" or "good."

I tried repairing my wireless connection, to get an IP address - that didn't work. I tried turning off my firewall, which never was on. My settings were already set to obtain an IP address automatically. I tried playing around with my browser settings, but everything looked good. The point is that my internet worked fine until one day it stopped working. Did anybody deal with a similar situation? How do you fix something like this? Or at least who should I talk to in order to fix this? (Like my cable company or Dell)

What's your setup? Modem -> router -> notebook?

The wireless connection is simply the connection to the router. It can be "excellent" without being connected to the internet. It sounds like a modem problem to me. Call your cable company.
