I have an HP 530 Notebook with an on board graphic card and Vista Basic. Why do ALL games I install crash?
The graphic card is a Mobile Intel 945 GM Express and I can't find any info on it anywhere...even Google can't tell me. I have 1GB of RAM. Does Vista work with older games, like Morrowind, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time...etc...etc? Every game I install has had either a boot problem or graphic issues.
Thanks for listening to me whinge
Two things,
First, next time do a search on Yahoo. Your card/shipset came up first time.
Here is a link to drivers, select your card and then the OS when asked.
http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-022034.htm
Second, Vista has had a bad reputation for not being compatible with older software. This I am sure will get better over time as they work out the bugs and improve the backwards compatibility. Look up the web sites for your games and see if a patch has been made that will allow them to work in Vista. Also, make sure you have all the latest updates loaded into your Vista OS.
