Notebook hard drive question
My brother's laptop hard drive gets the blue screen of death after 20 minutes powered on. He decided to upgrade the hard drive to a higher spaced hdd. My question is can you install the operating system on the laptop to the new hard drive and can you switch between the two to get the files of the old one. pretty much can you have the same operating system key on two hard drives?
Yes, you can install the OS on the new hard drive and get the files in the old one. And you can install the OS to the new HDD using the key of the OS in the old HDD. Because the OS key will only conflict if you try to install the OS to another laptop.
