I am a little concerned about the 5400 RPM hard drive and theres no option to upgrade it to 7200 RPM.. Will I be alright in this regard or notice considerable performance loss? Also, Id like to be able to play Starcraft 2 when it's released do you think this notebooks videocard would be able to do this within the next year?

I personally think it's great, with the exception that I would go for an AMD processor rather than an Intel. AMD's for me have proven to be much faster and reliable than Intel.
As far as the RPM's go, you'll be fine, and because it is a Vista, the graphics card will be great.
