Does every notebook computer have a lock slot?
I have a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067 notebook computer and it's 12 inches so it's pretty small and light. I invested in a notebook computer lock with combination where I'm supposed to insert it into a lock slot. And I think it's there but I'm not sure since the lock wouldn't go in. I have other 2 notebooks at home which are broken and they have similar looking slots as well but I had to force them in and when I tried taking them out, I had difficulty and it left marks in the slots. Is there a problem with the lock itself? Or does some notebook not have the slots?
I'm assuming this is the slot on my computer but I just want to make sure:
It looks right for a lock slot. I also notice it has something that looks like a rubber ring, which probably is there to prevent scratches.
My lock was also a little tight to insert and if my Laptop would have a ring like that, not sure if I would be able to push the lock in.
You may consider replacing the lock, but it should not be too loose.
