Can anyone confirm that the Sony vaio vpccw26fx/w at bestbuy has the intel i5 520m not the 430m?
I bought one of these notebooks on bestbuy.com and some of their in store info conflicts with the online specs. The site says it has the i5 520m with turbo boost to 2.93 ghz but the in store info I received says it has the 430m. The computer is listed under their premium laptops at $899, a suspiciously good deal if it actually has the new i5 chip.
This brand-new laptop model cannot be found on the Sony USA website now, but it is available through Newegg and several other sites as well as BestBuy.com. Specs for it are identical on all sites, showing the Core i5-520M, not the i5-430M. Best Buy's $899 price beats everybody else by $150 or more, and this price is valid through Saturday 1/30/2010.
This item is not stocked in the stores and is available by special order only. My local Best Buy store (Framingham, MA) had no info on it and had to look it up on the Web. I placed an order last night at Best Buy, and it should come in next week.
